Our inventory changes all the time depending on what trees come our way. Popular species include red oak, white oak, pecan, mesquite, catalpa, walnut, mulberry, Osage orange (bodark) and whatever else grows naturally – or unnaturally – throughout the metroplex.

Slabs can vary almost infinitely in length, width and thickness – but if you let us know what you’re looking for, we’ll work to meet your spec. Every hand-sawn piece from Little Mountain Woods is 100% unique and carefully cut to ensure both high durability and natural beauty. While functional, each piece is a work of art.

Loving natural wood doesn’t have to mean sacrificing trees. At Little Mountain Woods we salvage trees that would otherwise be lost – due to weather, construction or safety – and turn them into beautiful natural slabs.

While forest giants are sacrificed hourly for the wood trade, we’re proud to partner with property owners, tree removal specialists and woodworkers across the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex to give downed trees a second life as multigenerational treasures.

Hand-milled to maximize function and reveal the unique beauty of each tree, our locally-sourced live edge slabs are woven into the heart of Texas history.

We’re grateful to our many friends and neighbors for their support in identifying fallen and damaged trees that would have been tossed into a chipper, cut into firewood or otherwise forgotten.

Each hand-selected slab from Little Mountain Woods is 100% unique and carefully cut to ensure both high durability and natural beauty. While functional, each piece is a work of art and contains beautiful and natural inconsistencies from slab to slab.

We know firsthand that there’s nothing like the tactile experience of seeing and feeling a slab for yourself. All Little Mountain Woods customers are welcome to visit our mill and showroom in Waxahachie, Texas. Or, we can work with you virtually by phone, email and pictures so you can pick your reclaimed wood slab with absolute confidence.
